Services we Provide our Teachers

Teachers Established in China.

Let’s first start with foreign teachers already living in China, since these are the easiest to detail regarding visa issues and the fact they are already established in China.

  1. Panda will assist the teacher to obtain the visa necessary to work in china. However, it is the responsibility of the foreign teacher to gather the proper documentation to transfer their Category B Work Permit, and visa.
  2. The teacher will be provided with a detailed English written contract and teachers’ handbook
  3. Should the teacher have difficulty obtaining the proper separation papers from their past employer (which commonly happens), Panda will give general advice and assist the teacher to get their documents through our HR department.
  4. The process to transfer the visa documentation for teachers, who are already in China and moving employment, is easier than a teacher starting for the first time.
  5. When teachers first start their job in the school, we have English speaking Chinese Education Administrators who will take you to the location of the school and show you around, introduce you to the class  you will be teaching in, and give you a schedule to follow. They will show you where the teachers’ washrooms are and the lunch room.
  6. Before going to the school, our training department will give you some training and provide you with the necessary books, teaching materials, props, flashcards, etc. in order to have a successful class.
  7. Teachers are given a time sheet to fill in at the end of every month for the payroll department, and the teacher will be introduced to the schools clock-in/clock-out system.
  8. Our HR department will visit our schools to monitor the teacher’s progress, answer any questions the teacher might have, and to check if the schools are complying with the employment policies of Panda.
  9. Panda will assist the foreign teacher to obtain a bank account in China, get a SIM card for their phones, arrange an Alipay account, and Wechat account for communication. We will also help obtain a transit card for taxis, buses, etc. sign up for the accidental insurance (provided by Panda),  find suitable and affordable housing and negotiate the lease agreement. We can also help set up internet services, and if necessary, drinking water delivery, electric service and billing, gas service and billing, and the metro app for phones, and so much more.
  10. Panda also has a finance assistance program for teachers first arriving in Shanghai and starting to work for Panda, if required.

There are many things our staff will help the teachers with, far more than we can mention. We have a strong belief that if the teachers are happy and comfortable, they will stay with the company a longer period of time. We are the teachers’ “family” away from home and we rely on each other (like a family) to make your stay in China happy and enjoyable.
