Teacher Salary Rates For 2022-2023
Unlike a lot of different schools, our teacher salaries aren’t negotiable. Every teacher is treated the same so that there is less friction in the company. Each teacher’s salary is calculated on a scale of circumstances, qualification, nationality and (legal) work history. When we advertise teaching positions, there is a fairly large range of differences between the lower and higher ends of the salary levels. We also base our salaries on the going market in the education industry for teaching in private or government schools and within the government price guidelines given to us by the Education Bureau. However, the salaries are not the same as subject teaching or international education. These salaries are generally higher, but so are the requirements. Panda generally leads the market by being the first to estimate future salaries before anyone else does in China, so that we are able to recruit teachers faster and easier.

Non-Native- new or teachers without 3 years Experience
Monthly Salary – 22,000 /mth*
Attendance bonus – 2000 /mth
Total Income – 24,000/ mth
CNY Bonus -3000 RMB
Summer Bonus – 10,000 RMB
Non-native speaker, work experience is based on work the applicant’s legal teaching experience. Salary increases are calculated on annual basis.
Non-Native- over 3 years experience & Work History
Monthly Salary – 25,000 /mth*
Attendance bonus – 2000 /mth
Total Income – 27,000/ mth
CNY Bonus – 3000 RMB
Summer Bonus – 10,000 RMB
Non-native speaker, work experience is based on work the applicant’s legal teaching experience. Salary increases are calculated on annual basis.
Native Speaker- new or teachers without 3 years Experience
Monthly Salary – 28,000 /mth*
Attendance bonus – 2000 /mth
Total Income – 30,000/ mth
CNY Bonus – 3000 RMB
Summer Bonus – 10,000 RMB
Native speaker, work experience is based on work the applicant’s legal teaching experience. Salary increases are calculated on annual basis.
Native Speakers- over 3 years experience & Work History
Monthly Salary – 30,000 /mth*
Attendance bonus – 2000 /mth
Total Income – 32,000/ mth
CNY Bonus – 3000 RMB
Summer Bonus – 10,000 RMB

The Salary ranges often change year on year in August, the beginning of the first semester school year, based on the Teacher Employment Market levels.
As such, these salary levels may yet change before the beginning of the new school year.
These salaries are generally the normal rates for the bigger cities in China, and you will find many education institutes throughout China are often much lower than in the bigger cities. Because of this, they usually find it difficult to attract teachers, when their salaries are half what the bigger cities are offering.
